Important News

Do you remember back in 2010 we reminded everyone of
the importance of not forgetting medical checkups and
invited you all to check out your health with a medical?
Well now we have invested and enhanced our facilities
with new advanced lab equipment which includes heart
diagnostic equipment so we can diagnose the health of
your heart from within PDO.
It is so important to keep a track of your health but the
statistic s that we keep suggest that some are not getting
the message with periodic medicals decreasing whilst our
workforce size is increasing.

In today’s modern age, our
lifestyle, daily stresses and
environmental factors can lead to
new health issues not
experienced by previous
generations. Early medical checks
are essential to avoid any health
issues getting larger and more
complicated. PDO has suffered
ten deaths from medical
conditions since the start of the
year and some were due to
chronic medical conditions that if
detected and treated may have
saved their lives.
If your blood pressure, blood
sugar and cholesterol are
abnormally high then you might
need medication and changes to
your lifestyle to cope.

. Serious medical condition such as
cancers can remain dormant for years
may also be discovered during routine
checkups. Six people in PDO benefited
from having their cancer diagnosed early
due to their interest in their health and
attending a medical checkup.
To reflect the importance of such a good
practice, periodic medical checkups are
now compulsory and it is even more
important if you are interior based as the
hospital can be a long way away when
you need it. We would like everyone to
be proactive and book for the medical
check through the MAF or any interior
clinics.

Don’t rely on a reminder as the old
system is being upgraded and is
out of action
Spread the word with your friends
and colleagues and get booked into
a medical for your health.
